The MLB spring training has already started, teams made moves in the offseason and now it’s time to focus on the upcoming season in the best baseball of the world. After the Los Angeles Dodgers won the title last year, 29 teams will try to dethrone the Californian team and win the World Series next November.
The league is readying everything for a very entertaining season after all the problems they had to sort last year. They’re already heating things up and one of the most anticipated moments of the season is the revelation of the top 10 players entering the campaign.
They had revealed the 90 best players already and now the top 10 has seen the light. This is a prediction for this season and this always brings controversy but you can’t deny that these players are expected to do big things this term.
MLB’s top 10 players entering the 2021 season
The league finally revealed the last 10 players on this list, with Mike Trout once again leading the pack. The Los Angeles Angels star has been arguably the best player in the league and MLBstill sees him as the alpha dog this campaign.
Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers ranks 2nd after the incredible season he had with the other Angeleno team last year, leading the Dodgers to win the World Series with his good performances. Closing the top 3, we find a starting pitcher, New York Mets’ Jacob deGrom, who ranked 8th last season.
Fernando Tatis Jr makes it to the top 10
‘El Niño’ Fernando Tatis Jr made the leap last year and this one he’s seen as the 6th best player in the Majors. Last year, he was ranked 32nd and after all the good things he did with the San Diego Padres, he’s ready to take the next step this season. After signing a huge contract extension with the Californians, Tatis Jr keeps receiving more good news.
Washington Nationals’ Juan Soto is 5th on this list, which features another Latino player in Ronald Acuña Jr of the Atlanta Braves (7th). This season, these three players have big expectations and fans can’t wait to see what they’re going to bring to the table.
