You don’t have to be a genius or a psychicto notice that Kyrie Irving and LeBron James just don’t get along. Irving didn’t want to play with him anymore and constantly tried to prove that he was ‘The Man’ when they played together with the Cleveland Cavaliers and has taken a couple of shots at James ever since. So, every time they face each other, you know that’s must-watch television for NBA fans all over the world. Needless to say, their encounter when the Brooklyn Netsvisited the Los Angeles Lakers wasn’t the exception to that rule.

The Nets made a fool out of the Lakers from start to finish. They dominated the game almost at will, with LeBron James single-handedly carrying the offensive load for the purple and gold without Anthony Davis.

Brooklyn went back home with a 21-point win even without Kevin Durant, but perhaps the most remarkable thing about the game was the way Kyrie Irving made fun of LeBron after missing a technical free-throw.

Kyrie Irving Mocks LeBron James

LeBron James has never been an elite shooter from the charity stripe so it wasn’t odd to see him miss badly. Kyrie, however, couldn’t hide his excitement about watching his former teammate struggle, asking“That’s your best free throw shooter?”

Kyrie Irving Warns The Lakers

Kyrie Irving’s trash-talking didn’t end there. After the game, the former Boston Celtics’ flop claimed that they’ll “see the Lakers down the line”, assuming that they will meet again at full strength in the NBA Finals.

Hopefully, should that happen, both teams will be healthy enough to put on a show and a series that goes seven games. Without Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Lakers just don’t stand a chance to beat them, and Kevin Durant is the Nets’ best player.
