LeBron James is trying to win his fifth NBA championship. Currently, the King is preparing to lead the Lakers in the play-in tournament against teams like the Sacramento Kings or perhaps Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

However, the legends is also thinking about the future of his son Bronny James, who officially declared a few days ago that he will enter the 2024 NBA Draft. That event will take place on June 26th and 27th.

A few months ago, LeBron James admitted that one of his dreams would be to share the court with his son. That’s why the Los Angeles Lakers seem like a very possible option to recruit Bronny. In fact, some reports indicated that any team that would draft the young prospect could have a chance to sign LeBron.

“I need to be on the floor with my boy. I got to be on the floor with Bronny. Either in the same uniform or a matchup against him. But I would love to do the whole Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr. thing. That would be ideal for sure. Being with him. Spending a full year with him in the same uniform, that would be the icing on the cake.”

LeBron James won’t decide the NBA team of Bronny James

After the Lakers’ victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, several reporters asked LeBron James if he will have any influence on his son’s decision. In addition to the possibility of the NBA Draft, Bronny also has the option of the transfer portal.

“Bronny’s his own man. He’s gonna make his own decision. As a family, we’re just going to support whatever decision he decides to make. Doesn’t matter which way he goes. We look forward to his journey and whatever he decides to do, we’re going to be there in full support.”
