LeBron James had never spent six weeks without playing basketball since he made it to the NBA. That’s how durable he’s been throughout his entire career and a true testament to how important he’s for the Los Angeles Lakers.
His team couldn’t find consistency without him, which is normal considering he’s the primary ball-handler and scorer for them. Needless to say, they were pretty excited to have him back on the lineup before the start of the playoffs.
However, The King’s return didn’t go as expected, as they couldn’t even beat the Sacramento Kings at home. Even worse, James had the chance to hit the game-winning shot but bricked it badly. Obviously, that fueled countless reactions on social media.

One thing I’ve learned being a long time LeBron fan is to never overreact to a regular season game.

LeBron Opens Up On His 20-Game Absence
“It was horrible, honestly, for me,” LeBron said afterthe game. “I was more stressful than I’ve ever been. I would say the first couple weeks were pretty good, cause I didn’t travel much as the injury and the swelling was happening… I was able to stay home and be with my family, so that was very rewarding. But as far as watching the games and not being able to play and sitting on the bench and knowing that you can’t make much of a difference, it’s very stressful.”
“You guys could’ve seen the long minutes and hours per day that I was doing as far as rehabbing and treatment. It was a lot more than I slept. So over the last six weeks, that’s all I’ve been doing is having urgency to get back and play,” he concluded.
Right now, the most important thing for him is to be healthy and get back into rhythm and playing shape ahead of the playoffs, but it would’ve been great to see him knocking down that game-winning shot in his return.
