LeBron James opens up on Kobe Bryant's impact on his life

LeBron James reflected on what Kobe Bryant meant for him on the first anniversary of Kobe's death.

LeBron James and Kobe Bryant had a terrific relationship during the 13 years they spent in the NBA. Both players developed a deep bond that lasted until Kobe left this world last year in a fatal helicopter crash.

The Black Mamba left this world very surprisingly and everybody was sad after the news saw the light. He was a very big name around the NBA world and even a year after his passing, all the people in the league remember the 5x NBA champion.

LeBron recently reflected on his experience with this death, revealing that it’s been hard for him and everybody to copy this situation and its consequences. The King is carrying Kobe’s legacy with the Los Angeles Lakers and this was something that really affected him.

LeBron James reveals what Kobe Bryant meant for him and the NBA

After the Lakers beat the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, James addressed the media, talking about his experience with Kobe’s death and how things are going for him right now. Bron let everybody know that time heals everything, although he still needs some to feel less bad.

Via Dave McMenamin of ESPN:

ā€œMan, it’s a saying that time heals all,ā€ James said after a win over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday at the United Center, where Bryant’s idol, Michael Jordan, used to play. ā€œAnd as devastating and as tragic as it was and still is to all of us involved with it, only time. And it takes time. Everyone has their own grieving process.ā€

He gave the perfect description for Kobe, stating that he won’t ever be forgotten after all the things he did on the court with the Los Angeles Lakers in 20 years.

ā€œThere’s a lot of things that die in this world, but legends never die, and he’s exactly that,ā€ James said. ā€œSo it’s all about representing that.ā€

LeBron is on a mission right now, carrying Kobe’s legacy with the Lakers and making that franchise even bigger than it already is. Bryant was one of the greatest players in NBA history and his death will be hard to overcome. Everybody paid homage to him when he died and on the first anniversary of his passing, that won’t change.
