Ever since his days with Real Madrid, it was pretty clear that Luka Doncic was destined for greatness but no one, not even the most optimistic Dallas Mavericks fan, ever thought that he’d be that good that fast.

Doncic has taken the NBA for assaultsince the very first moment he set a foot on the hardwood and, even though some of his doubters dared to deem him a one-year-wonder, he came back even better for his sophomore season.

That’s why some oddsmakers and experts from Las Vegas and Sportsbetting.com believe that he’ll be next year’s Most Valuable Player, even ahead of already bonafide superstars of the league.

Oddsmakers Back Luka Doncic To Become 2021 NBA MVP

According to the aforementioned betting house, Doncic is the frontrunner to be the league’s best player in 2021, followed closely byGiannis Antetokounmpo, Steph Curry, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis.

Not to shabby for a 21-year-old player that has already proven to be a superstar at the highest level, up to the point where Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban even said that he’d leave his wife if that’s what it takes to keep Doncic around forever.

Luka improved in every single aspect from this Rookie of the Year season, averaging28.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game on 46% shooting and leading his Mavericks to the playoffs.

Doncic put his team on his back without Kristaps Porzingis – who got hurt in the playoffs – and pushed the overpowered Los Angeles Clippers to six games, and the scary part is that he’s just getting started.

The Slovenian is far from his prime and even though he must improve as a three-point shooter and as a defender, there’s absolutely no reason to think that he can’t be the best player in the world in just 12 months from now.
