Back in the day, Shaquille O'Neal was known around the world for being one of the most dominant athletes ever. He torched opposing defenses at will and locked down the best players in the NBA in the other end of the floor.

Now, Shaq has become a bit infamous around the current generation of NBA players, as he's made a mockery of them over and over, especially the big men, constantly taking shots at them and talking about how he would do way better than them.

And, as you may have heard recently, his latest victim is former Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert, who just signed a max contract with the Utah Jazz franchise despite being far from an offensive factor.

Shaq Says He Would Have Easily Dominated Gobert

It all started when Shaq made an appearance on CBS Sports' 'All Things Covered' podcast. He mocked Gobert by claiming that he was an inspiration to all the little hoopers out there because you could get $200 million averaging just 11 points:

“I’m not gonna hate, but this should be an inspiration to all the little kids out there. You average 11 points in the NBA, you can get $200 million. He’s got a great agent, and I’m happy for him and his family. With the new rules, you have a pot of money, you have to spend that money. I’m happy for him, but this is a moment for a lot of kids who think they can’t make it," Shaq said.

Then, rather than backpedal his comments or shy away from the controversy The Big Aristotle doubled down on his take by posting an edition of him and Gobert and predicting how their stats would look like:

"I would had 45 pts 16 rebound ten missed free throws in three quarters. He woulda had 11 pts four rebounds and fouled out in 3 quarters. I'm a G," Shaq captioned a pic of him dunking over Gobert.

The worst part about this is that it might as well be true. No disrespect towards Gobert as he's one of the best rim protectors in the league, but there haven't been many people on earth who could match up vs. prime Shaquille O'Neal.
