Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh reveals top priority for Justin Herbert heading into the upcoming NFL season

Jim Harbaugh will be leading the Los Angeles Chargers’ first team for the second consecutive year, and this time, he’s going all-in in pursuit of big results in the NFL. Beyond turning the team into serious contenders, the veteran head coach has another key objective in mind: getting the most out of his star quarterback, Justin Herbert.

If there’s anyone placing full confidence in the former Oregon Ducks star, it’s none other than head coach Harbaugh. In a recent media appearance, the experienced HC revealed that his next big goal is to help mold Herbert into a future Hall of Famer.

“I just woke up the other day and say, got to get Justin Herbert to the Hall of Fame. Must get Justin Herbert to the Hall of Fame. It’s just one of those things where you wake up and kind of like three, four in the morning. And sometimes that’s when your best ideas come,“ the HC said on The Rich Eisen Show.

He also added that a key part of the strategy to get the best out of Herbert will be surrounding him with the right pieces: “I think it’s necessary that we get him, you know, surrounded with as many good football players to his level as possible.”
