Tre Harris is officially a member of the Los Angeles Chargers after being selected with the 55th overall pick in the second round of the NFL Draft. The former Ole Miss standout left his mark in college and wasted no time sending a strong message to Chargers fans about what to expect from him on the field.
“I’m gonna be able to make an impact right away,” Harris said. “I wanna go out there and show you that I can be a big-play receiver. I can make those tough and contested catches even when people may not think I’m open.”
Harris speaks with confidence—and with good reason. Over his final two seasons at Ole Miss, he caught 114 passes for 2,015 yards and 15 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 17.7 yards per reception.
Chargers add more young talent to WR group
Harris joins a receiving corps that already includes emerging stars. Ladd McConkey, who led the team last NFL season with 1,149 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, and Quentin Johnston, who chipped in with eight touchdowns and 711 yards, both return in 2025.
With Harris in the mix, the Chargers’ offense—which ranked 11th out of 32 teams last season—could take another step forward. The unit showed strong balance in 2024, and adding another top-tier playmaker could elevate the offense even more.
