The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been the true definition of inconsistency through the first 11 weeks of the NFL season. Some days they look like they’re Super Bowl bound, and the other they’re just the same old Bucs.
And, contrary to what most people could think, most of their losses have been entirely on Tom Brady. Bruce Arians has put together a decent and well-coached team with plenty of talent in the offense and defense, and the games have gone down to the wire.
Tom Brady has been terrible in primetime games this season, dropping their record to 1-3 with 5 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Notably, 3 of the Buccaneers’4 losses thus far have come in such games.
Moreover, Brady’s woes were at full display during the Buccaneers’ 27-24 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, as the six-time Super Bowl winner was picked off twice on deep passes and truly hurt his team’s chances to get the win. Needless to say, the internet had a lot to say about it, as it happens every time Brady loses.

Brady finished the game with 26 completions on 48 attempts for 216 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. He was sacked once and had a quarterback rating of 62.5 after logging just 4.5 yards per attempt.
The Buccaneers are now 7-4 and even though there aren’t many reasons to be worried about them, the fact that Brady continues to underperform when it matters the most makes people doubt their true chances to go the distance this season.
At the end of the day, counting Tom Brady out has been a terrible idea throughout the course of his career and he’s yet to fall off a cliff as some analysts predicted but we can’t deny that he’s been far from stellar this season.
