Jeremiyah Love is widely considered the premier running back prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft. He has recently made headlines with his promise of a “Gold Jacket career,” with ongoing rumors linking him to the New York Giants and the Kansas City Chiefs.

With the 2026 NFL Draft approaching, fans are eager to see where Jeremiyah Love will land. However, the former Notre Dame standout believes his destination is secondary; he is committed to giving his all to his new club and intends to make an immediate impact upon his arrival.

“I want to be one of the best of all time,” Jeremiyah Love said Tuesday at Notre Dame’s Pro Day, via Talia Baia. “I want to be a Hall of Famer. I want to be a Pro Bowler my very first year. I want to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

“I tell them all these goals that I have. Obviously, these are goals. Goals are goals, but you’ve got to have a process for how you want to achieve those things. I’ll go every season and set out little goals, like per week, what I can do to make sure I’m reaching the bigger goal that I have. I’ve told all these teams this.”

Which teams could draft Jeremiyah Love?

Jeremiyah Love stands as the top running back prospect in the 2026 class. For that reason, he is expected to be a top-10 selection, with some analysts projecting him as high as the top five.

As of today, March 28, 2026, Love has been linked to both the Giants and the Chiefs. However, with New York holding the No. 5 overall pick and Kansas City at No. 9, other teams may have a better chance to secure him.

In the latest NFL mock drafts, Love is frequently projected to the Tennessee Titans at No. 4 overall. Following the departure of franchise legends, the Titans have lacked a top-tier playmaker, and Love would immediately fill that void.

Can the Giants or Chiefs trade up for Love?

The Giants, led by new head coach John Harbaugh, have a clear affinity for elite rushing attacks. While New York saw a breakout rookie season from Cam Skattebo in 2025—who recorded seven touchdowns before a season-ending injury—Harbaugh’s history suggests he may still value a “workhorse” like Love.

The scenario for the Chiefs is slightly different. Despite signing Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker III to a lucrative three-year deal earlier this month, Kansas City remains interested in bolstering its backfield. Pairing Walker III with a dynamic prospect like Love could provide Patrick Mahomes with a historic offensive arsenal.
