The NFL offseason continues to heat up, and in recent hours, the Green Bay Packers have made some noise. Led by Jordan Love, the team has agreed to terms with a talented player out of the Colorado Buffaloes — a former key target for Shedeur Sanders during his college football stint.
We are talking about the explosive wide receiver Will Sheppard, who will make his official debut in the league at Lambeau Field. With this addition, Love now has a new weapon at his disposal on offense.
The news was revealed by NFL insider Jordan Schultz, who shared the update on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, reporting this intriguing move made by Matt LaFleur‘s team.
“Former Colorado WR Will Sheppard is signing with the #Packers, per source,” the insider reported via @Schultz_Report.

Wide receiver Will Sheppard #14 of the Colorado Buffaloes warms up before the NCAAF game at Arizona Stadium on October 19, 2024 in Tucson, Arizona. The Buffalos defeated the Wildcats 34-7.
Will Sheppard had a productive 2024 season with Shedeur Sanders at Colorado after transferring. He finished with 48 receptions for 621 receiving yards and six touchdowns, demonstrating a reliable connection with Sanders and becoming a key target in the Buffaloes’ offense.

A major deal on defense
The Packers are far from staying idle as they prepare for the upcoming season, having secured the long-term future of one of their defensive cornerstones. Talented offensive tackle Zach Tom will remain a Packer for at least four more seasons after agreeing to a contract extension.
“The #Packers and OT Zach Tom agreed to terms on a four-year, $88M extension with a max value of $92M, per The Insiders,” Ian Rapoport reported via @RapSheet.
He also added: “The deal includes a $30.2M signing bonus, the largest for an OL. Deal was done by Michael Hoffman and Nate Sullivan of Sports Law and Management (SLAM).”
