The Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen were left with a bitter taste last NFL season after falling short of a potential Super Bowl appearance, which is why they’re eagerly awaiting the upcoming campaign. The good news for Sean McDermott’s squad is that a key defensive player could be available at the start of the next chapter.

Taron Johnson didn’t finish the year on the best note, after suffering a torn labrum in his shoulder that forced him to miss the final stretch of the season. However, good news has emerged from Orchard Park, as the cornerback was actively involved in OTAs and is expected to be ready for Week 1.

Following his initial on-field work, the former Weber State Wildcats standout spoke with the media and shared his thoughts, expressing how he feels increasingly closer to officially returning to action with his team.

“Feels good, pretty much feels close to normal,” Johnson said, via Katherine Fitzgerald of the Buffalo News. “So, that’s all I can really ask for, being healthy before training camp, so I can fully train and get ready for the season.”

What can we expect from the Bills next season?

The Buffalo Bills are entering the 2025 season with one clear goal: reclaim the AFC East and make a deep run toward the Super Bowl. After falling short in recent years, the franchise is more motivated than ever to take the next step.

Much of that hope rests on the shoulders of Josh Allen. The MVP-caliber quarterback remains the centerpiece of the team’s ambitions, expected to lead an explosive offense capable of challenging any defense in the league.

Head coach Sean McDermott will rely on a well-balanced squad, featuring a physical defense and a dynamic offensive unit. That combination could make Buffalo one of the most dangerous teams in the NFL this season.
