The goal for the Buffalo Bills in the upcoming 2025 NFL season remains the same: to be that team at the forefront and, perhaps, dream of reaching the Super Bowl. To achieve this, it’s crucial to maintain the core that has brought such good results, which is why management has secured the continuity of a key player for both Josh Allen and Sean McDermott.
Greg Rousseau, the talented defensive end for the Bills, has reached an agreement with the franchise and will remain with them for four more years after securing a lucrative contract extension.
The news was reported by NFL insider Adam Schefter, who, through his X (formerly Twitter) account, shared more details about the deal between the player and Buffalo. McDermott‘s team is slowly starting to strengthen its roster.
“Another big deal in Buffalo: Former first-round pick Greg Rousseau and the Bills reached agreement today on a four-year, $80 million extension that includes $54 million guaranteed, per sources,” the insider reported via @AdamSchefter.

Rousseau’s impact on the team
Rousseau gradually became one of the most impactful players on the team as the weeks went by. The trust placed in the former Hurricanes player by the coaching staff provided him with the tools to showcase his talent in each game.
Since his arrival at Orchard Park, the DE has posted outstanding numbers, which guaranteed his continuity for four more years. He played a total of 57 games, recording 22.5 sacks, one interception, and a total of 166 tackles.
The continuity of another key figure in the Bills
The focus is already on what’s ahead, and in Buffalo, they don’t want to leave anything to chance when it comes to roster construction. To that end, one of the latest pieces of news reports that the Bills gave a huge contract extension to Josh Allen’s key teammate.
According to a report by Kyle Brandt and Ian Rapoport, the Buffalo Bills signed Terrel Bernard to a four-year, $50.2 million contract extension. Under the new deal, $25 million would be guaranteed for the linebacker.
