Dan Campbellā€˜s Detroit Lions were undoubtedly one of the standout teams last season in the NFL. The focus is on repeating last year’s performance, with the main objective now being to build a competitive roster. For now, Jared Goff could potentially lose an offensive teammate, as one player is seriously considering the possibility of retirement.

The experienced wide receiver Allen Robinson, 31, entered the NFL in 2014 after being selected in the Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. After more than 10 years in the league, the former Penn State standout is seriously considering retiring from professional football.

ā€œFor me, it’s now just taking time to evaluate what next year looks like for me in general,ā€ Robinson stated via the Free Press. ā€œThat’s kind of where I’m at with it. So I’m taking some time to make this decision with my family.ā€

The former Pro Bowler in 2015 expressed feeling blessed for having achieved the career he had, especially for having been a part of several teams since entering the league.

ā€œI’ve been able to learn so much football and learn just so much in general, to where it’s truly been a blessing to be able to have experience that I don’t think it’s anything else in my life that would’ve been able to take me to see the world in the sense,ā€ he said. ā€œIt’s been some great experience.ā€

Despite not having much involvement last season with Dan Campbell’s team, having only recorded three receptions for 30 yards in 12 appearances, Robinson is at peace knowing he gave his all with every team he played for. ā€œI wanted to look back and have no regrets,ā€ the WR said. ā€œAnd that’s kind of where I’m at with it is that I don’t have any. I’ve put everything I’ve had into this game.ā€
