If there’s one team that can’t be overlooked this NFL offseason, it’s the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mike Tomlin’s squad has made major moves, securing star-caliber talent like Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, and Jalen Ramsey. However, one big question still remains: the future of their defensive cornerstone, T.J. Watt, has yet to be decided.

According to the latest reports, amid a flurry of league-wide moves, the Steelers have no intention of parting ways with the seven-time Pro Bowler. In fact, there’s growing confidence in Steel City that they’ll be able to work out a meaningful contract extension with the star linebacker.

The news was first reported by NFL insider Tom Pelissero, who shared further details on the situation via his official X account (formerly Twitter). The former Wisconsin Badgers standout remains at the center of ongoing discussions in Pittsburgh.

The #Steelers have no intention of trading star pass rusher T.J. Watt and their focus remains on extending Watt’s contract, per sources. Watt, who turns 31 in October, is due $21.05 million in the last year of his current deal,” the insider reported via @TomPelissero.
