The long-awaited 2021 NFL Draft is finally upon us. The best college prospects of the past several seasons are finally going to find out where they’re going to play in the pros, and the coaching staff can start planning ahead to next season.
Obviously, the fans always want their team to get the best player available and a potential franchise cornerstone when it comes to the first round of the draft. Then again, more often than not, GMs make questionable decisions by letting stars slip and reaching to get other players.
Whether it’s because they got players they didn’t need or because they missed on the chance of getting a star, the NFL Draft is always controversial for the fans, and this wasn’t the exception to the rule.
Between the Cincinnati Bengals deciding not to protect Joe Burrow, Mac Jones sliding to 15th right to the New England Patriots, to the Green Bay Packers not drafting a wide receiver – again – to the San Francisco 49ers trading up to get a quarterback that would’ve been available later, the first round of the Draft had it all.

At the end of the day, drafting isn’t an exact science. There are intangibles that can’t be measured in projections or draft combines, and you also need to be in a position to succeed and be lucky to make it in the NFL. Our best wishes to all the young players trying to earn that golden jacket. Your journey begins now, it’s time to prove the doubters wrong.
