Aaron Rodgers has still not confirmed to the Pittsburgh Steelers that he will play for the team. According to a report from Tom Pelissero, although everything seems to be pointing in that direction, the quarterback doesn’t have a deal in place nor has he given the ‘yes’ to Mike Tomlin and the organization.

“I have been told that he has not affirmatively told the Steelers that he’s coming. Certainly, all indications are that he’s coming. He talks all the time with Mike Tomlin. I known he’s talked with Arthur Smith. So, there’s all these signs that he’s coming, but he’s not affirmatively said: ‘Hey, June 9th, book me the ticket, I’m coming in. and I’m going to join this team.’ That has not happened as of this point.”

A few weeks ago, other reports indicated that Rodgers had already given assurances to the Steelers that he would sign with them. However, according to what Pelissero stated, that has not happened at any point.

Who will be the next Steelers quarterback in 2025?

The Pittsburgh Steelers want Aaron Rodgers as their next starting quarterback in an effort to win the Super Bowl. However, the problem is that there has been no official response from the player.

At the moment, it doesn’t seem like Rodgers will be signed in time for the mandatory minicamp on June 10, so all of this could drag on until training camp. What’s striking, despite the lack of confirmation, is that the Steelers don’t seem fazed by it.
