Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs are one of the favorites to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. After coming very close to winning the championship last season, the team is seeking redemption.

In 2024, injuries were undoubtedly one of the biggest obstacles for the dynasty. Hollywood Brown injured his shoulder in the preseason, and Rashee Rice suffered a serious knee injury in Week 4.

Now, the priority is for the roster led by Patrick Mahomes to stay as healthy as possible. However, bad news came quickly after the first preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Who got injured with Chiefs?

Deon Bush suffered an Achilles injury in the Chiefs’ 20-17 loss to the Cardinals in the preseason opener. Andy Reid confirmed that the safety requires surgery and will be out for the entire 2025 season.

“Bush is an Achilles. Yes. He’s going to have surgery. He’ll get double checked here, but, I think we’re looking at surgery there. It’s too bad because he’s really been playing well. Great kid.”
