The Chicago Bears are making moves in the offseason with the goal of leaving behind a disastrous 2024 NFL season. The team, led by quarterback Caleb Williams, has added a veteran former player from the Atlanta Falcons for the upcoming season.
Williams’ new teammate is none other than defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, who joined the Bears after spending his entire ten-season career with the Falcons. The experienced player has stated that he is ready for a fresh start with Chicago.
“It’s an exciting time. I’m just ready for a new challenge. I feel like the work that I’ve done in Atlanta is never ending, but it served its purpose as far as my time with the Falcons. The things and the lessons that I learned in my hometown, I want to bring it to Chicago and just be my best self, and I’m just excited for a new challenge,” Jarrett said in an interview with the team’s official website.
The details of Jarrett’s arrival to the Bears
Jarrett, 31, joined the Bears after being released by Atlanta in early March. It seemed that there weren’t many options for the veteran defensive tackle, but just hours later, he agreed to a three-year, $43.5 million contract with Chicago.
