After eight brilliant seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, including a historic performance as Super Bowl LVI MVP, Cooper Kupp signed a three-year, $45 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks. The NFL star is looking to regain his top form and recently spoke about how he feels in this new chapter.

The 31-year-old veteran went through a difficult exit from Los Angeles, where he was released after the Rams couldn’t find a trade that matched their expectations. The move saved the team around $15 million in cap space but also left them with approximately $22 million in dead money.

That decision opened the door for Kupp to find a fresh start for the final stretch of his career. The former Super Bowl-winning wide receiver believes he still has plenty to give and found in Seattle the perfect place to prove it. In that context, he shared his feelings about his first days with the franchise.

Kupp’s message about joining the Seahawks

“It’s been a long time since I learned a new offense, long time since I sat in a meeting and had to do the ‘put a face on the board and what’s this guy’s name?’ That’s a stressful situation. That’s a high-stress situation,” Kupp said, according to the Seahawks’ official website.

Kupp had previously said he hoped his career would “begin and end with the Rams.” However, he now has to adapt to Seattle’s style of play. Spending so much time with one franchise creates a strong sense of home for stars like him, so this transition presents a new challenge for the former Rams standout player.
