The Atlanta Falcons remain in a state of uncertainty regarding Kirk Cousins and his future in the NFL. Easton Stick, who has spent his entire NFL career with the Los Angeles Chargers, has officially confirmed his move to the NFC South, joining the Falcons. While he is not expected to start, his addition provides a solid backup option for head coach Morris.

The news was first reported by insider Adam Schefter, who took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to confirm the arrival of the former North Dakota State player in Atlanta.

What does the future hold for Kirk Cousins?

Kirk Cousins’ inconsistent performance, combined with the high price the Falcons paid to bring him in, has led the organization to seriously reconsider his future with the team heading into next season. The veteran quarterback’s status remains uncertain as Atlanta evaluates its options moving forward.

According to recent reports, the Falcons are expected to part ways with Kirk Cousins, with only two teams reportedly willing to cover part of the veteran quarterback’s salary — the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings.

“There is a feeling around the league that a team, whether it is the Vikings or Steelers, might be willing to pay down roughly $10 million,” the insider Adams Schefter wrote on ESPN.com. “How much any team would be willing to pay also would influence the compensation it gives up. The higher the payment, the lower the draft compensation; the lower the payment, the higher the draft compensation.”
