With Aaron Rodgers still contemplating his future, the New York Giants are waiting to decide who will be their quarterback for the 2025 NFL season. In the meantime, theyâre reportedly considering to add a wideout who caught passes from Jalen Hurts on the Philadelphia Eagles.
On Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported that the Giants are hosting wide receiver Zach Pascal for a visit. Still a free agent, the 30-year-old boasts seven years of experience in the NFL.
After going undrafted in 2017, the Old Dominion product spent his first year in Washington and Tennessee before landing on the Indianapolis Colts, where he played from 2018 to 2021. In his last two seasons with the Colts, Pascal worked with current Giants WRs coach Mike Groh.
In 2022, former Colts OC Nick Sirianni recruited Pascal for his Eagles, with the wideout getting his fair share of opportunities in Hurtsâ offense. In 17 games played (two starts), Pascal caught 15 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown. He even saw action in the Super Bowl LVII loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, with two catches for 11 yards.

Zach Pascal #3 of the Philadelphia Eagles celebrates after his teamâs 17-16 win against the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium on November 20, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pascal spent the last two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals on a two-year, $4.5 million deal. He appeared in all 17 games of 2024 but mostly on special teams, finishing the season with zero catches.

Rodgers reportedly has âstanding offerâ from the Giants
The Giants are reportedly waiting for Rodgersâ decision about his future to see what to do about the quarterback position this offseason. The 4x NFL MVP is understood to be the teamâs priority target.
In fact, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Rodgers already has an offer from the Giants on the table. The Pittsburgh Steelers are believed to be the other team also willing to sign A-Rod.
âIâm told from sources that Rodgers does have standing offers from the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants,â Fowler said on SportsCenter, via SNY. âI checked with the source from one of those teams about a timeline for Rodgers. I got back a text with the Websterâs dictionary of the word enigma, and so thatâs kind of the feeling right now.
âTeams are waiting this out, waiting on Rodgers. The feeling is thereâs not just a money consideration here. Thereâs fit, thereâs surroundings, all those things. Minnesota Vikings are sort of on the periphery here. Sources there tell me that itâs possible they get involved with Rodgers, but the feeling this week has been probably not. They want to develop J.J. McCarthy.â
Giants exploring alternative options at QB
This doesnât mean that the front office is staying quiet, though. The Giants could sign another veteran quarterback before Rodgers, with Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reporting that Jameis Winston is scheduled to visit New York on Tuesday.
Winston isnât the first quarterback the Giants are meeting with though, as the team has reportedly had visits from Joe Flacco and Russell Wilson last week. Another alternative to Rodgers could be on the 2025 NFL Draft, where the Giants hold the third overall pick among a total of eight selections.
