Jerry Jones seems to have finally realized that he needs to be aggressive for the Dallas Cowboys to be Super Bowl contenders. The biggest sign of that was the surprising trade with the Steelers to acquire George Pickens.
Now, the offense looks very powerful with Pickens alongside CeeDee Lamb, hoping that Dak Prescott can regain his Pro Bowl-caliber level after an injury sidelined him in the second half of last season.
However, the defense still needs some tweaks. Micah Parsons is still waiting for his contract extension, the Cowboys lost DeMarcus Lawrence who went to Seattle, and although the secondary is very solid with names like Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland, injuries have also been an issue in that unit. Because of that, a star player could be on their radar.
Could the Dolphins trade Jalen Ramsey to the Cowboys?
Yes. The Dolphins could consider a trade to send Jalen Ramsey to the Cowboys, according to a report from Jeremy Fowler. The big issue is the star cornerbackās salary, which exceeds $20 million for the upcoming season.
āMiami has been in contact and in talks with several teams about Ramsey. The NFC East could be one to watch. The Dallas Cowboys made three trades this offseason, four players on rookie deals. Could they make a fourth trade on an NFL veteran who is on a bigger contract? Certainly, they need cornerback help. When I checked with somebody in Dallas, they said: āLook, itās possible we might not be done. We can always be looking to add.ā Nothing imminent yet. In part because of that $24 million in guarantees that heās owed in 2025.ā
