NFL News: Mike Tomlin and Steelers are reportedly facing a huge dilemma with Aaron Rodgers

With the NFL Draft fast approaching, all eyes are on Pittsburgh as Mike Tomlin and the Steelers wait for a decision from Aaron Rodgers. The franchise believes he's the missing piece for a Super Bowl run, but his silence is creating tension and uncertainty.

The Pittsburgh Steelers remain in complete uncertainty as they wait for Aaron Rodgers with less than two weeks to go before the draft. However, according to a report from Tom Pelissero, the momentum has remained the same since the last owners meeting. All signs point to the quarterback joining Mike Tomlin.

“So, they want Aaron Rodgers even at 41-years old. They still believe, ‘we can get the most out of this guy right now.’ All signs continue to point toward Aaron Rodgers being the Steelers quarterback, except for one which is Aaron Rodgers actually saying, ‘I’m in.’ And, until you get that, you have no choice but to do what the Steelers are doing, which is doing work and all these guys (draft prospects).”

Tomlin has no doubt that, at least for the 2025 season, Rodgers is the missing piece for the Steelers to finally contend for the Super Bowl again. The big problem is that something is holding the star back from confirming he’s on board.

What team is Aaron Rodgers going to?

Aaron Rodgers still hasn’t decided which team he’ll go to, but for now, the only offer he has is from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although the Rams and Vikings were on his radar, the reality is that, as of today, he has no other option.

The huge question is how long he’ll take to decide, because if the Steelers lose patience, the situation could become catastrophic for the quarterback. With no teams available, retirement could come unexpectedly.
