The Seattle Seahawks are gearing up for a challenging 2025 NFL season with Sam Darnold as the focal point of their offense. Head coach Mike Macdonald’s team is undergoing a transformation, and the connection with the new faces is beginning to solidify.

Klint Kubiak joined Macdonald’s staff as the new offensive coordinator, while the quarterback position is now held by Darnold, who signed a three-year, $100.5 million contract with Seattle. The former Minnesota Vikings player is coming off a Pro Bowl season in 2024 and now faces the challenge of proving his resurgence and leading the Seahawks back to the postseason.

In line with that, new additions continue to arrive. On the defensive side, defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence has made a strong impression on coach Macdonald, who didn’t hesitate to praise him after seeing him in the early stages of training camp with the Seahawks.
