The Los Angeles Rams have signed wide receiver Davante Adams to a two-year contract, and his impact on the roster is already noticeable. Head coach Sean McVay’s franchise is aiming to return to the NFL spotlight and has brought in a key weapon capable of boosting the offense.

Adams was a trusted partner of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and now begins a new chapter apart from the veteran, who currently plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 32-year-old wide receiver is now focused on becoming a reliable target for Matthew Stafford.

Over the past decade, Adams has consistently delivered high-level performance—something any franchise would value. The veteran WR has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in six of the last seven seasons, including 1,063 yards and 8 touchdowns in just 14 games last year. His arrival is great news for Los Angeles, and McVay agrees.

McVay’s statement on Adams

In an interview with the Rams’ official website, head coach Sean McVay shared his thoughts on Adams’ mindset: “It’s so cool, and that’s what you want. I think we talk about it as coaches all the time—‘How do we make sure these guys leave excited about coming back the next day? How do we cultivate an atmosphere and environment that, hey, it’s hard?’” McVay said.

“So, we’re always trying to strike that balance of urgency and enjoyment. For Davante to say that, that means the world to me because of the respect and admiration I have for him as a person, as a player. Really glad that he’s in our locker room. He’s made a tremendous impact already. And I think he feels appreciated, and I know the guys feel appreciated by the way that he moves, the way that he’s pouring into guys, and just being a great teammate himself,” McVay added.
