Rashee Rice could be suspended soon by the NFL. According to a report by Adam Schefter, a judge’s ruling in Dallas County gives the league the authority to punish the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver.
“A Dallas County judge just sentenced Chiefs WR Rashee Rice to five years probation and 30 days of jail time that can be served during those five years stemming for his role in a multi-car crash in Dallas during the 2024 offseason. Now that the judge has ruled, the NFL can expedite its disciplinary process and Rice is likely to receive a multi-game suspension.”
Rice’s absence would be a major blow to Patrick Mahomes and his offense. In fact, last season the wide receiver position was one of the most challenging to manage due to injuries.
Will Rashee Rice be suspended?
All signs point to Rashee Rice being suspended for several games by the NFL for violating the league’s conduct policy. It’s important to remember that the star player missed a large part of the 2024 season due to a knee injury.
This was the official stance of the NFL after Schefter’s report was made public. “We have been closely monitoring all developments in the matter which remains under review.”
