Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face off on Sunday for Week 6 of the 2020 NFL season but, obviously, the biggest story of the game is that we’ll get to see Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady go toe-to-toe for just the third time in history.
Rodgers has piled up numbers and accolades and is considered by some the best quarterback in the game and one of the greatest of all time. Brady, on the other hand, has more silverware than a good portion of the league and is far ahead of the Packers’ quarterback in terms of winning pedigree.
Both are tied with one win apiece in their all-time record, and even though this will only be another regular-season game, football fans from all over the world will still use it as a way to back up his favorite’s quarterback case.
Jamaal Williams Mocks Tom Brady And Lauds Aaron Rodgers
That’s what Packers’ running back Jamaal Williams is already doing, as he didn’t hesitate to throw shade at Tom Brady ahead of Sunday’s game by claiming that Rodgers would never forget what down it is because he’s always ready and too smart for that:
“Comeon, man. I’m pretty sure my quarterback knows what fourth down is, you know what I mean?” Williams said, as quoted by Pro Football Talk. “That’s what I’m saying, like, Aaron Rodgers would never do that. Never. You know what I mean? He’s too smart for that. We would never be in that type of situation because A-Rod is always prepared, always looking at the clock. We’ve got too many people who are just too ready to go. We’ve been in those types of pressure situations before so I feel like it’s just natural for us to be on top of everything and go ball. I would never expect that from my boy (Rodgers),” the running back concluded.
Williams is referring to Brady’s last game in which he forgot that he was already facing fourth down and threw a terrible pass downfieldto cost the Bucs’ the game. Then again, he should be wary of poking the bear, as you should never count Tom Brady out.
