Just like Michael Jordan built the Chicago Bulls, Tom Brady is the main guy behind the New England Patriotsā success. You can try and deny it or sugarcoat it but thereās just no way to diminish what he did for that franchise.
Thatās why everybody has been eager to watch him go at it vs. Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots, albeit the āBrady vs Belichickā debate seems pretty much set at this point after last yearās Super Bowl.
Watching Brady back at Gilette Stadium will be an emotional time for NFL fans for sure and even for him, as he recently admitted that it will most likely be the last time in his career that he plays there:
Brady Says Week 4 Will Probably Be His Last Game At Foxboro
āUnfortunately, weāre going to be on different sides of the stadium this time around,ā Brady said in an interview with Jim Gray on SiriusXM, as quoted by theBoston Herald. āIāve got a lot of familiarity playing in the stadium. You know, weāve got to first get to training camp and see where weāre going to be and then get through the first three weeks of the year, but Iām sure itāll be a great opportunity for me to go back to a place I know as well as anyone. Itāll be a great day for football.ā
āIām not naive to the fact thereās some marquee games you always look at over the course of the season, a matchup of places guys have been versus where theyāre at now,ā Brady added.āYou know, brothers playing one another, or former Super Bowl teams going ā when we played the Giants in the regular season, it always felt like it was a little more when I was with the Patriots. So, naturally, thereās just more buildup, but at the end of the day, itās going to be a game where weāre going to prepare like weāve been preparing.ā
Brady isnāt getting any younger and itās not a secret that weāre approaching the sunset of his career, even if heās still one of the best players in the league. So, letās all mark that Week 4 game on our calendars, as itāll be yet another historic event featuring him and the Gilette Stadium.
