The rich get richer and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers arenāt the exception to that rule. After replacing Jameis Wiston with Tom Brady and adding Rob Gronkowski and Leonard Fournette, theyāve now capped it off with the signing of Antonio Brown.
The controversial wideout is one of the most polarizing figures in the NFL, as he just canāt seem to stay out of trouble. However, when locked in, not many defenders on earth can keep him away from the ball.
Thatās why Tom Brady has taken him under his wing and pretty much making sure that he stays right on track by welcoming him into his home in Tampa Bay while he gets settled with the team.
Tom Brady Says Antonio Brown Is A Good Friend And Heās Helping Him Get Settled
The quarterback reached out to Jim Gray of Westwood One to talk about how Brown is trying to stay out of trouble and buy into the Tampa Bay Buccaneersā system while being a guest in the Brady household:
āAntonio is a good friend of mine and, again, weāve gotten to know each other pretty well over the years. So heās just getting settled and I know heās looking for places, but itās just nice to be able to have him around,ā Brady said.
āAnd weāre getting to work and he likes to be integrated into what weāre doing, big transition for him moving across the state really not knowing anyone. So, you know, again, just trying to be a great teammate and help someone out whoās a friend of mine,ā number 12 added.
Tom Brady Lauds Antonio Brownsā Work Ethic
Brady and Brown worked out together briefly when they were teammates in the New England Patriots, so Antonioās work ethic wasnāt new to the gunslinger. Then again, he still took the time to tip his hat off to him for how invested he is in getting back to the league:
āHeās obviously a very hard worker, and heās working his way into the program, into the Bucs program. Heās been involved in a lot of the meetings. He hasnāt been able to do any practices yet but I know heās been kind of training and getting ready for it,ā Brady concluded.
Antonio Brown has everything to be once again one of the most disruptive and dominant forces in the league and itās nice to see Brady look out for him, as he knows this will be his last chance to make a roster and, who knows? Even win a Super Bowl.
