The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to bounce back after a hurtful Super Bowl loss last season. On that note, tight end Travis Kelce is one of those names looking for redemption. As a veteran presence, he knows what the team needs to go back to the top and he is endorsing one new teammate to help them remain an NFL dynasty.
The Chiefs drafted tackle Josh Simmons in the first round and he has been impressing everyone in the building. Kelce is one of them, and he said, “I’ve seen him over there working some pass sets and things like that. When you see the guy move, he is so balanced, and he is such a big athlete. He doesn’t seem he is ever top-heavy. His legs are strong, his feet are in the ground. He is very precise with his movements.”
This is not the first time Simmons has gotten compliments from other people. Actually, Travis Kelce’s brother, Jason, compared Simmons to none other than Trent Wiliams.
Simmons has a huge task ahead of him
Simmons is tasked with one thing, nobody can touch Patrick Mahomes. Now, Mahomes is tough to sack anyway, but Simmons has to buy him time for him to progress through all his options.

Josh Simmons of Ohio State speaks to the media during the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium on March 1, 2025 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The tackle has even played as defensive end on some drills. He is a freak athlete that will certainly help the team. There is a tough season ahead and having a guy like Simmons is an absolute pleasure for the team.

The Chiefs’ O-Line has suffered many changes
Josh Simmons is not the only new face in the unit. Jaylon Moore is also bringing experience into this offensive line. They also have three undrafted free agents like Esa Pole, Dalton Cooper and Joey Lombardi.
They lost Joe Thuney, but it seems like Creed Humphrey is ready to step up as the team’s new center. Football is won in the trenches so having a good offensive line is 50% of the mission.
