“It’s not all sunshine and rainbows until something gets done, then it becomes great. Obviously, they didn’t agree, and you know, Vegas could be the best thing for him, and when it comes to a change, I bet change is hard, but I’ll have to kind of wait and see,” Tkachuk said in an interview with The Leafs Nation’s Simply Spiked.

“I know Matthews played with Mitch, and I’ve just gotten to know Mitch over the last couple of years. So obviously, I don’t really know the ins and outs of [his] negotiation,” Senators‘ Tkachuk added. Next season will reveal how Marner’s move from Toronto to Vegas impacts both teams.
