<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/connor-bedard">Connor Bedard</a> grabbed all the spotlights in the NHL, but it wasn’t enough for the Chicago Blackhawks. Following the 4-3 shootout loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, Frank Nazar offered a stern admission about his thoughts after yet another narrow-margin defeat.



Bedard and the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/chicago-blackhawks">Blackhawks</a> are holding their ground against some of the best teams in the NHL. After years of being a walk in the park for opponents, simply being competitive is a positive sign for fans in Chicago. However, the Hawks would still like to close out some of the tight games they’ve recently let slip away.



“[We] try to work for each other, and [when] it doesn’t end up working out, it sucks,” Nazar stated, via The Chicago Sun-Times. “There’s spurts in the game where we looked really good and we were outplaying them. [It’s about] just continuing to get rid of those small little mishaps.”



<h2>Bedard keeps his red-hot form</h2>



Following his four-point outing against the Anaheim Ducks, the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/vegas-golden-knights">Golden Knights</a> knew they couldn’t let Bedard out of their sights. Still, there was nothing that could’ve been done to prevent him from scoring an absolute beauty on Carter Hart—who made his season debut and first start since January 2024.

With his goal against Vegas, Bedard found the back of the net for the 17th time in the 2025-26 <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nhl">NHL</a> season. With over 50 games left in the campaign, the former first overall pick is now six goals away from matching his best goal mark in a season (23). So far in the campaign, Bedard registers 38 points (17G, 21A).

To put the cherry on top on another sensational outing in the season, Bedard scored a nifty goal in the shootout round. However — as it’s been a common theme all year long — it wasn’t enough as Chicago fell once again.

For Vegas, Tomas Hertl and Ivan Barbashev scored, while Carl Lindbom made 17 saves in the loss. Despite outshooting the Panthers 12–1 in the final frame, the Golden Knights fell short for the third straight game (0–2–1).

Although the former Flyers’ goalie was acquitted of all charges in the resolution of the Hockey Canada trial, the NHL still intervened with a sanction of its own for the five players involved. As a result, neither player was allowed to sign a new league contract until Oct. 15, and they can’t be back on the ice until December.

Eichel and Marner made their first official appearance in the NHL, but it ended in sorrow. The Golden Knights fell in a shootout to the Kings after the game ended 5-5 in regulation. 



Fans in Sin City were treated to a goal fest in the 2025-26 <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nhl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NHL</a> season opener. It was all in vain, though, as Marner and company couldn’t close it out after leading the Kings 5-3 in the third period. Following the defeat, Eichel delivered a bold message for Marner and the locker room to hear.



“It’s frustrating to give up a two-goal lead in the third. We’ll learn from that and be better for it,” Eichel admitted, via NHL.com. “But there were some things to like. Obviously, we were down a few, got back in the game, got the lead. We want to be able to close those out.”

Following a bold comment from a two-time champ, he could be joined by some elite company in the upcoming NHL season.



Perhaps moving on from the Toronto Maple Leafs was all Marner needed to finally taste glory in the NHL. It’s not as if his career has been anything but outstanding so far, but the biggest accolade has eluded him. Now, shortly after arriving in Las Vegas, he might be in prime position to go all the way in the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/stanley-cup" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stanley Cup</a> Playoffs.



The <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/vegas-golden-knights" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Golden Knights</a> are among the favorites to hoist Lord Stanley in the 2025-26 NHL campaign. “Nothing is really concrete,” Pietrangelo admitted about his future in dialogue with NHL.com. “I’m just going to continue to take it day by day and go throughout my process and see where it goes. I’m continuing to rehab, I’m going to continue to do that. We have a phenomenal team here and the rehab process has been great.”

Countless players have come and gone through the NHL and would do anything for a career like Pietrangelo’s. The 35-year-old has only played for two clubs yet has won a Stanley Cup with each.



Pietrangelo struck gold at the 2014 Winter Olympics with Team Canada, and needless to say, he’s grown accustomed to winning throughout his professional career. Still, he’s far from finished. 



If his body holds up, he’ll keep chasing silverware on the ice. Cracking Team Canada’s roster for the 2026 Olympics might be a long shot—but so would a return to the league at all. If he manages one, who’s to say he can’t pull off the other?

The offseason blockbuster signing of <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/mitch-marner">Mitch Marner</a> by the Vegas Golden Knights has sparked discussion across the NHL. After handing Marner an eight-year, $96 million deal, questions arose about whether the move was influenced by the Edmonton Oilers, who eliminated Vegas in the second round of the playoffs.



Marner’s addition pairs him with Jack Eichel on Vegas’ top line, while Ivan Barbashev is expected to provide net-front support. The move gives the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/vegas-golden-knights">Golden Knights</a> one of the league’s most dynamic offensive combinations, underscoring their plan to build a championship-caliber roster rather than react to rivals.



Golden Knights GM Kelly McCrimmon addressed the rumors, emphasizing that Marner had been on their radar long before the Oilers series. “It wasn’t something we thought of last minute,” McCrimmon said on the 100% Hockey podcast, noting that Vegas had explored Marner’s availability as far back as last offseason and had discussions with Toronto at the trade deadline.
