The Montreal Canadiens are approaching the offseason with an eye on a new experience in the 2025-26 NHL season, and a teammate of star Patrik Laine has delivered a strong message to the rest of the roster to reinforce the team’s upcoming objectives.
Last season marked the Canadiens’ return to the playoffs after a four-year absence. This year, with Laine as the offensive symbol, the team is preparing to face the upcoming campaign with renewed expectations.
Coach Martin St. Louis has focused on strengthening team cohesion and boosting the performance of key players. The addition of young talent has further strengthened the roster, and captain Nick Suzuki has been outspoken about what he expects from the Canadiens.
Suzuki’s candid admission
“It’s exciting. We’ve been trading players for a long time, so now that we’re bringing in some really good guys to the NHL, it’s exciting for everyone. Talking to Dobson and Bolduc as they arrived, they’re really excited to join the group,” Suzuki said in an interview with Arpon Basu of The Athletic.
