Canada are the third semifinalists in the Gold Cup 2021 after beating Costa Rica 2-0 in the quarterfinals match on Sunday. Now, Les Rouges will face Mexico, who won over Honduras on Saturday, to try to win their first Gold Cup since 2000.

John Hermand’s team scored the first goal 18 minutes into the match after Junior Hoillet received a long ball and surpassed the Costa Rica goalkeeper. Canada kept trying to expand their advantage, with throw-ins from Kaye and Vitoria. Finally, Stephen Eustaquio was the one who made the second goal for the Canadians.
