Canada are the third semifinalists in the Gold Cup 2021 after beating Costa Rica2-0 in the quarterfinals match on Sunday. Now, Les Rouges will faceMexico, who won overHondurason Saturday, to try to win their first Gold Cup since 2000.

John Hermand’s team scored the first goal 18 minutes into the match after Junior Hoillet received a long ball and surpassed the Costa Rica goalkeeper. Canada kept trying to expand their advantage, with throw-ins from Kaye and Vitoria. Finally, Stephen Eustaquio was the one who made the second goal for the Canadians.

Costa Rica tried to respond with Joel Campbell, who almost scored an incredible free-kick but Canada’s goalkeeper, Maxime Crepeau, saved the shot and secured the victory for his team. Here, check out highlights and goals:
