A happy ending seems to await Luis Suárez after what has been a rough week wherenew Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman informed him that he would not be counted on for the coming season. Suárez's agent has already laid out the forward's salary demands to Juventus, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Suárez’s departure comes at the center of teammate Lionel Messi’s intentions to leave Barcelona following a rift with president Josep Maria Bartomeu. Manchester City would be Messi's first choice after leaving the Spanish side.

As reported last week, Juventus seems to be the front runner for Luis Suárez’s services as multiple outlets had mentioned that the Juventus board had given the okay to initiate talks between the club and the players’ representation. Other possible destinations have been ruled out given the players’ high wages and priority to play top-level soccer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a second meeting has taken place between Luis Suárez’s representation and the Juventus board where Suárez’s salary was discussed and, according to the source, the player has spoken to Juventus vice-president, Pavel Nedvěd.

What are Luis Suárez’s salary demands?

Luis Suárez wants to earn an annual salary of €10 million-plus incentives of around €2 million for a total of €12 million. This would equal what Suárez is earning currently, and Juventus would be keen to pay it since Suárez may be allowed to leave Barcelona on a free transfer. Juventus other option, Edin Džeko, conversations with Roma have stalled and Luis Suárez is considered a substantial upgrade.

The same source also claims that PSG has contacted Suárez but it seems that, at the moment, Juventus is the front runner to sign the Uruguayan forward.
