Ecuador qualified to the World Cup automatically after finishing second in the CONMEBOL qualifiers. The South Americans have played 10 games against African teams. Ecuador have won four, drawn two, and loss four in those games.

As for Morocco, they come as the reigning AFCON champions after losing the final on the field, but being granted the title due to Senegal breaking the rules by leaving the pitch in protest for a moment. That made the African Federation to grant the win to Morocco as that counted as Senegal forfeiting the game.

Both teams are quite talented, having stars all around their lineups. 

Morocco are the 8th best team in the world according to their FIFA ranking, and they are actually very close to overcome Portugal (5th), Brazil (6th), and Netherlands (7th). As for Ecuador, they are in the 24th spot despite their great run in the World Cup Qualifiers. They could factually overtake Turkiye and Korea Republic with a couple of good results in the upcoming game too.

Achraf Hakimi, Chadi Riad, Issa Diop, and Noussair Mazraoui star in defense. The midfield shows Mohamed Hrimat, Neil El Aynaoui, Azzedine Ounahi, Brahim Diaz, and Abde, Ezzalzouli. Finally, Ismael Saibari will step up as the man up front.
