Diego Armando Maradona will always be a legend in Naples. The Argentine superstar lead Napoli to its best years, winning five titles, including two Serie A trophies and the UEFA Cup (Now Europa League). Following his death on Wednesday, fans and the club’s presidentAurelio de Laurentiis said they want the San Paolo stadium to be renamed after him.
“We can consider the idea of calling our stadium San Paolo-Diego Armando Maradona”, said De Laurentiis toRMC Info. It would be a good idea to keep Maradona present every time Napoli plays.
Also, Napolipenned manymessages to its idolon social media, as well as picturesof him wearing the Napoli jersey. Maradona will always be in the hearts of the Napoli fans.
