Inter Miami and Atlanta United played their third match in less than a month, with Miami coming out victorious in their last meeting at home with a 3-2 victory. Both teams are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference and were both desperate for a win. It was an electrifying first half from Inter Miami, creating multiple scoring chances from the very beginning, pressuring Atlanta very high up the pitch, not allowing them to come out from the back controlling the ball.

It didn’t take long for Miami to score their first goal of the night, before the 2nd minute of the first half, Juan Agudelo scored a beautiful goal from a play that Morgan started on the left flank, crossing the ball inside the box, which took a deflection, landing on Agudelo who quickly took a shot, sending the ball into the back of the net.

The lead didn’t last long once again, just 2 minutes later, Gallagher tied the game when he received the ball all alone outside the box, making a small run, kicking the ball with a lot of power into the back of the net.Juan Agudelo, who may have played his best game wearing the Inter Miami Jersey thus so far.

Juan Agudelo played an amazing game, holding on the ball, playing with his back against the goal as the lone striker up top, linking with Pizarro in the middle,Shea on the left and Morgan on the right. It seems as if the stars were aligned in Inter Miami’sfavor during the first half, everything seemed to be going theirway.

Matuidi showed why he’s a world-class player, why he’s a world champion with France, why he played for a top team in the Italian Serie A, he was all over the field, covering so much space, tackling, winning balls, finding through passes. Some might think that he had a quiet night, but it was quite the opposite, if you look back, he was all over the field, along with Ullola, they managed to control the tempo of the game during the first half and broke a lot of Atlanta’s plays during the second half.

Break Shea, “what a GAME!” I’ve been one of the few that have begged for Brek to be a starter, or at least, to be given more playing time, he’s been playing incredibly as a sub, thus the reason why I gave him the nickname of “super sub”, he played his heart out, in both, the attacking end and defensively, He tracked back many plays on the left, assisting our left-back throughout the entire night. His hard work paid off when he scored the winning goal in the first half, his second goal in the last 2 games for Inter Miami.

Although Atlanta controlled most of the second half, Miami seemed to have things under control defensively, with a few minor mistakes.Miami should play with a 4-2-3-1 formation, especially now that theyhave Higuain, I was never fond of the 4-3-3- formation because Inter Miamiare not the type of team to play with only 3 midfielders.Against Atlanta, Alonso finally used the 4-2-3-1 formation in the first half and it worked perfectly.

The second half was a whole different story, but Inter Miamistill managed to play very well defensively, especially in the final 15 mins of the game. Diego Alonso played the last few minutes of the game with 3 center backs when he brought in Torres as a sub to help secure the 3 points. Overall, it was a really good game for Miami, it was the club’s first win on the road.

From a fan perspective, I was incredibly happy, proud, shocked, and amazed at how Inter Miamiplayed the first half, we need to bring the same type of energy into every game, and keep that intense energy throughout the entire game, or at least most of the second half.

Once again, We cannot allow our opponents to take control of the game, keep in mind that Atlanta doesn’t have a dangerous center forward at the moment, but other teams do. We have a very big chance of winning our next home game against NYRB this Wednesday, if we play as we played against Atlanta, we will win those 3 points and if we do, we will be able to climb to the 8th position as long as Nashville or Cincinnati don’t win their respective matches.

Good luck to our Inter Miami team this Wednesday! Let’s keep this momentum going, hopefully, Higuain will be able to play this weekend and we will still have another chance of winning 3 more points!
