The US women’s national team play Mexico one more time today, July 5, at thePratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford for the Send Off Series 2021 before heading off to the Summer Olympics in Tokyo 2020. These two teams just met this past Thursday, with the USWNT beating Mexico 4-0 with goals by Samantha Mewis, Tobin Heath and Christen Press, who made a brace. Mexico stood tall the first 20 minutes, but Mewis found a way to the net and everything went down for the Monica Vergara’s girls.

While the USWNT is preparing to compete at the Olympics, they open against Sweden on July 21; Mexico is still in a transition stage after Vergara assumed the head of the team earlier this year. Of course, El Tri femenil will try to improve Thursday’s image.
