The Formula 1 2021 campaigncontinues its course todaywith the seventh Grand Prix Race of the year at the Circuit Paul Ricard. The French Grand Prix is a scheduled Formula One race at the Circuit Paul Ricard inLe Castellet on June 20, 2021.

The race will be the seventh round of the 2021Formula OneWorld Championship, and the 89thGrand Prix of France. It’s one of both the oldestraces in the world and the first Grand Prix to ever take place. The French GPwas often moved around on 16 different locationsthroughout itslifetime, which is unusualfor an event of such duration.

2021 French Grand Prix: Storylines

The newFormula 1 2021 season began in late March. So far, the Bahrain Grand Prix at the Bahrain International Circuit,Sakhir, took place onMarch 28, while theItalian Grand Prix at Imola Circuit,Imola, happened on April 18,the Portuguese Grand Prix at the Algarve International Circuit was set for May 2, as well as theSpanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya,Montmeló on May 9.

Then, theMonaco Grand Prix took place on May 23, at theCircuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo, followed by theAzerbaijan Grand Prix atBaku City Circuit inBaku two weeks later, on June 6. This will be the seventh out of 23Grand Prix events during the year. At the moment, it is Max Verstappen of the Netherlands who leads the 2021 F1 rankings with a total of 105 points. His side, Red Bulls sit on top of theconstructors’ rankings with 174 points so far.

The oddsmakers have made their predictions for this weekend’srace inLe Castellet,andMax Verstappen is seenas the lone favorite. FanDuel has given him odds of -115oddsto win, while Lewis Hamilton’svictory would result in a +145payout, Valeri Bottas is at +550, whileSergio Perez could bring a payout of +1800.
