It has been one of the Formula One World Championship rounds since 1986. Budapest’s Nepliget Park was the site of the first Hungarian Grand Prix, which took place on June 21, 1936.For fifty years, however, Grand Prix Formula 1racing in Hungary was put on hold due to politics and the subsequent World War.

2021 Hungarian Grand Prix: Starting grid

As the race in Hungary gets underway, Lewis Hamilton has the pole position. It is the 101st in his career. Mercedes protects the front-row lockout by securing the front-row latch. During Saturday’s game, Hamilton played a little gamesmanship. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez had to keep up with him when he slowed down in Q3’s out-lap.

2021 Hungarian Grand Prix: Storylines

The newFormula 1 2021 season began in late March. So far, the Bahrain Grand Prix at the Bahrain International Circuit,Sakhir, took place onMarch 28, while theItalian Grand Prix at Imola Circuit,Imola, happened on April 18,the Portuguese Grand Prix at the Algarve International Circuit was set for May 2, as well as theSpanishGrand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya,Montmeló on May 9.

Then, theMonaco Grand Prix took place on May 23, at theCircuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo, followed by theAzerbaijan Grand Prix atBaku City Circuit inBaku two weeks later, on June 6. At the moment, it is Max Verstappen of the Netherlands who leads the 2021 F1 rankings with a total of 185points. His side, Red Bulls sit on top of theconstructors’ rankings with 289points so far.

The oddsmakers have made their predictions for this weekend’srace in Hungary,andLewis Hamilton is seenas the lone favorite.
