While 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu often receives the spotlight, Katie Boulter has been one of the most consistent players on the WTA Tour. Thanks to her steady results, she is currently ranked as the British No. 1 player and has peaked at World No. 23. So, who does she consider the ‘greatest player of all time’ between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic?

In a GQ video during the 2024 US Open, where other stars like Naomi Osaka, Casper Ruud, and Matteo Berrettini also answered the GOAT question, Boulter said: “I love to watch Roger Federer and Andy Murray, but by stats, of course, [Novak] Djokovic is always going to be the GOAT.”

During his 20-year career, Djokovic has set several remarkable records. For instance, he has won 24 major titles, including a record 10 Australian Open titles. He also completed the career Golden Slam and is the only man to achieve a triple career Grand Slam, winning each major at least three times.

Overall, Djokovic has claimed 99 singles titles, including 72 “big titles,” which feature a record 40 Masters 1000 titles, seven ATP Finals titles, and an Olympic gold medal. He is also the only man to be the reigning champion of all four majors at once, across three different surfaces.

With these impressive stats and records, it’s no surprise that many tennis legends and current players consider Djokovic the greatest of all time. In fact, Boulter’s answer mirrors that of her fiancé, Australian star and former World No. 6, Alex de Minaur.

Personally, I really enjoy playing mixed doubles, so I think it’s going to be fun to hopefully play some mixed doubles with Katie, which will be exciting,” De Minaur said during his Media Day interview at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships last month. Boulter and De Minaur teamed up for mixed doubles at Wimbledon in 2023, where they were eliminated in the second round.
