The <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/utah-jazz">Utah Jazz</a> have multiple moves in mind for the offseason, with trades and other roster changes expected across the franchise. One of those plans involved moving on from Jordan Clarkson—but that may be harder to pull off than initially expected.



The Jazz are open to trading <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/jordan-clarkson">Clarkson</a>, but two major factors are getting in the way: a lack of interest from other teams around the league and the fact that he recently turned 33. Those two realities appear to be anchoring him in Utah—for now.



“The Jazz would like to trade Jordan Clarkson but there is next to no interest on the trade market right now. Simply has not had a very good last two seasons and is on the wrong side of the age curve,” reported Andy Larsen on X.



<h2>How much time is left on Clarkson’s contract with the Jazz?</h2>



Clarkson is currently under a veteran extension that runs through the 2024–25 and 2025–26 <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nba">NBA</a> seasons. That means he still has one year left on his deal with the Jazz and is owed $14.5 million. Since arriving in Utah, Clarkson has earned close to $80 million with the franchise.

<h2>Was last season a disappointment for Clarkson?</h2>



Clarkson’s 2024–25 campaign was shortened due to a plantar fasciitis injury in his left foot, which required a medical procedure announced in late March. He appeared in just 37 games, starting nine of them, and averaged 16.2 points per game.

It was yet another injury-plagued season for Clarkson. The last time he played close to a full year was in 2021–22, when he appeared in 79 games. Since then, he’s averaged just 51 games played per season over the last three years.

In a thrilling matchup at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, Jordan Clarkson of the Utah Jazz put on a show for the Philippines. His outstanding performance propelled Gilas Pilipinas to a resounding 96-75 victory over China in their final game of the tournament.



Clarkson showcased his scoring prowess by dropping 20 points in just three minutes and 36 seconds during the third quarter. His explosive performance allowed the Philippines to enter the fourth quarter with a commanding lead, which they turned into a win.

Clarkson finished the match with 34 points, also adding a great efficiency considering he shot 11-18 FG and had a stat sheet of 5-10 for three. This fantastic outing was his highest-scoring game since January 14, when he had 38 points against the Philadelphia 76ers.

“Honestly, we’ll see,” Clarkson told Complex. “I’m ready for whatever happens. I’ve been in the league for nine years now. I’m kind of a young vet in this. So, whatever direction management, owners, and the team are trying to go, I’m ready for it.”
“If I’m in a different jersey in a week or tomorrow I get a phone call and I have to put on whatever jersey it is, I’m just trying to win and take whatever team it is to the next level to hopefully win a championship one day,“ Clarkson added.“That’s my outlook on it.”
“If I’m here in Utah, I want to win. I want to strive for the playoffs, try to put a team together that could win something,” the guard continued. “It’s hard to go down from [where we were], bro. We’ve been winning for like three years straight. We had the best record in the league two years ago. This last year wasn’t the greatest, but we still finished top four in the West. We had another chance to win a championship and it all got squandered. It gets frustrating, but the sun comes out the next day and you’ve got to figure it out.”
