<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/offside/psg-womens-player-aminata-diallo-arrested-for-organizing-attack-on-her-own-teammate-20211110-0019.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Aminata Diallo sits in a French jail </a>formally charged with aggravated violence in the Nov. 2021 attack on her then-teammate <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/offside/eric-abidal-admits-infidelity-with-kheira-hamraoui-and-hayet-abidal-files-for-divorce-amid-assault-investigation-on-the-psg-midfielder-20211119-0007.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kheira Hamraoui</a>. Diallo took to violence as a way to earn first team minutes at the French club, hiring men to beat and hit Kheira Hamraoui with metal pipes.
“All four (accomplices) alleged Diallo was the instigator of the assault, in order to allow her to be given the place of the victim [in the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/soccer/the-conditions-for-lionel-messi-and-sergio-ramos-to-remain-at-psg-20220917-0020.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PSG team</a>] in future games,” the Versailles prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
Diallo was arrested but let go during the early part of the investigation where she was seen as just a bystander when <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/offside/report-eric-abidals-wife-hayet-abidal-now-a-suspect-in-kheira-hamraoui-attack-20211116-0024.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hamraoui</a> was attacked in the car they both were riding in. Wiretaps after the fact led French police to vital information that Diallo planned the attack on Hamraoui. As a result, Diallo’s contract with PSG was allowed to finish and she was not resigned.

According to Le Parisien, French police were able to retrieve messages where Diallo wrote about her hatred towards Hamraoui. Diallo saw Hamraoui as direct competition on both PSG and the French national team.
Diallo went as far as to google various ways to hurt Hamraoui from “dangerous pill cocktail” to “how to break a joint”. Hamraoui spoke about the attack for the first time over the weekend issuing the following statement:

As it is reported by RT and AS, Hayet Abidal issued a statement after filing for divorce from the father of her five children Eric Abidal. The statement concludes that Eric Abidal had admitted to having an extra marital affair with Kheira Hamraoui.

Hayet Abidal was brought in for questioning by police earlier in the week after previous prime suspect Aminata Diallo admitted to police that the attacks were in fact planned by Hayet Abidal after she learned that her husband had an affair with Hamraoui.
Hamraoui, 31, was dragged out of Diallo’s car and was beaten on her hands and legs with metal bars and one of the attackers is reported by French media to have said, “you like to sleep with married men.” Eric Abidal’s legal team has yet to make a statement.

In what appeared to be a case of “trying to take out the competition” where Diallo, who plays the same position at PSG as Hamraoui hired the masked men to injure Hamraoui, things began to take a turn for the strange when <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/offside/former-barcelona-player-eric-abidal-involved-in-investigation-of-psg-womens-attack-20211115-0016.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">former Barcelona player Eric Abidal was questioned by police.</a>
According to reports from France, Abidal was considered to be behind the attack as part of a revenge plot on Hamraoui, whom he dated in the past. But now evidence points that the revenge factor was the main reason for the attack but that it was planned by Abidal’s wife Hayet Abidal.

According to Le Monde Eric Abidal was originally questioned because the SIM card on Hamraoui’s phone was registered under the name of the former Barcelona player. Testimony from Diallo, who was considered the prime suspect for the attacks, indicates that Hayet Abidal had threatened Hamraoui before.
It is reported in L’Equipe, all the information being received by police points to a love triangle between Hayet Abidal, Eric Abidal and Kheira Hamraoui, in which the plot to injure Hamraoui was one out of revenge by Hayet Abidal for Hamraoui sleeping with her husband.
It has been confirmed that while Hamraoui was attacked one of the masked men hitting her made statements about sleeping with married men.

ESPN adds the police have tracked Abidal after noticing Hamraoui called him in the morning of the attack. It remains to be seen how this situation unfolds, but for now, Abidal will be required to answera series of questions as the investigation goes on.
