Kiyan Anthony’s mom, actress La La Anthony, revealed she was struggling to adapt to life without the kid around the house. The 18-year-old player represented Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, New York, which still allowed him to be in the house and close to his mother.
After committing to his father’s alma mater, Syracuse University, Kiyan won’t be that close to home, which has affected La La. Anthony graduated in June 2025, seven months after signing with the Orange.
He ranks 36th on the ESPN 100 list. Several schools sent him offers, such as Auburn, Florida State, Ohio State, Rutgers and USC. While his family is excited about his next step, Kiyan’s mom can’t help but feel emotional about the player’s departure.
