As her son Kiyan Anthony prepares for his freshman season with the Syracuse Orange, actress La La Anthony continues to navigate the dating life. Anthony had previously revealed that men in their 20s tried to slide into her DMs, but never confirmed she was seeing someone.
She married Carmelo Anthony in 2010, and the couple broke up in 2021 after years of an inconsistent relationship. They have been cordial with one another after a tumultuous divorce, mostly because of their desire to see Kiyan succeed.
The 18-year-old prospect’s game has drawn plenty of attention in recent years, and he’s ranked as the No. 32 best player in the country in the 2025 class. While he prepares to take another step to fulfill his NBA dream, Anthony has identified the type of man he’d like his mother to date.
Kiyan Anthony has a specific description of the men his mother shouldn’t date
During an interview with Speedy Morman at the new Complex HQ, La La Anthony explained that her son has a clear opinion on certain hairstyles and the type of men she should date:
“I don’t know why he said that about the dark Caesars and baldies, that’s just his philosophy,” she said. “He thinks I should be looking for someone with a specific type of haircut, and he’s explained what that should look like,” she continued. “I’m not sure where he got that from, especially since he hasn’t really been around anyone I’ve dated. He’s just coming up with his own ideas.”
Just like his mother took care of him growing up, now the young Syracuse freshman wants to make sure La La dates the type of man he thinks is good for her.
