Geno Auriemma is known for a lot of things, not only in the college basketball scene but in sports as a whole. He brings that Bill Belichick, Gregg Popovich type persona to the table.
That’s why, on top of being known for his expertise as a tactician and his ability to recruit some of the best players in the women’s basketball scene, he’s also known for telling it as it is.
With that in mind, former UConn superstar Paige Bueckers made sure to make her best Coach Auriemma impersonation and got brutally honest when asked how her coach would feel about the WNBA All-Star Game.

“Just completely awful. Disturbing demonstration of basketball on both ends of the floor,” she said.
At the end of the day, that’s unfortunately what those types of games have become. It’s all show and no competition, up to the point where some fans have even called for it to be cancelled.
Coach Auriemma may have tuned in to watch how his former Star fared in her first WNBA All-Star Game, but he most definitely turned it off after just a couple of minutes.
