LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers took down Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in a very entertaining game that ended up with a Lakers win, 113-106, with the King having a stellar performance.
That game had a lot of reasons to be an entertaining one and the fact that the current NBA MVP and the second finalist for the award played against each other, only made it better. A lot has happened since Giannis was crowned MVP of the league but some people haven’t gotten over it yet.
Bron reflected on that situation after the win over the Greek Freak, making it clear that he was pissed off with the decision and he didn’t understand the criteria. However, the King has something in his favor against Giannis and he took it to the next level on Thursday night.
LeBron James has a 16-5 record over Giannis Antetokounmpo
After winning Thursday night’s game, LeBron improved to 16-5 in his personal duels with Giannis Antetokounmpo. That means he has a .762 win percentage over the Greek player, which means he’s tied for the second-best winning record by one MVP over another.
Only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with a .783 win percentage vs Hakeem Olajuwon surpass the King, who tied Bill Russell with a .762 win percentage vs Willis Reed.
LeBron had plenty of reasons to play great on Thursday and he really showed that. He went off, helped his team get the win and closed the night with a pair of big plays. It was a terrific night for the 36-year-old, who demonstrated he’s still the best player on earth.
